Dark Horse Music Group is a Nashville-based indie label, publisher and marketing cooperative run by students at Dark Horse Institute’s School of Music Business. While getting hands-on experience, DHMG staff serve the local music community by offering free recording, marketing, project management and publishing services to developing artists. Director of Music Business
Jamie Nehasil brings decades of entertainment business experience to DHI students, having formerly served as Owner and President of Common Grounds Entertainment, VP of Strategic Partnerships at Black Fuel Music/220 Entertainment Group, and Director of Music and Marketing at Tri Star Sports and Entertainment Group.
Previous clients have included personalities at the highest levels in music, acting, modeling, publishing, politics, and professional athletics. He holds the MBA from the Massey Graduate School of Business, and a BGS in Business Management and Marketing from the University of Minnesota.

Dark Horse Institute is the sister company of world-famous Dark Horse Recording in Franklin, Tennessee, and a premier Audio Engineering, Recording Arts and Music Business school. As the final step in training young recording engineers and music business executives, our students will record, overdub, edit and mix your new 6-song EP, as well as provide vital career development resources. Your production and marketing team will be fully supervised by Dark Horse staff engineers and seasoned music executives, and you will have full access to the same state-of-the-art gear used at Dark Horse Recording and most top recording studios around the world.

Recording Agreement (example)
Agreement between ________________________________ (hereinafter Artist), with principal offices at __________________________ and Dark Horse Institute (DHI), located at 230 Franklin Road, Bldg. 14A, Franklin, Tennessee 37064.
Whereas Artist desires to record a 6-song EP and receive artist development services from Dark Horse Institute, DHI agrees to make best efforts to track, overdub, edit and mix six (6) single songs for the Artist and to provide A&R, publishing, marketing and career development services as agreed.
Artist will retain all copyrights to the recordings and original compositions, and will receive both the final two-track stereo mixes and the original Pro Tools session files. Dark Horse Institute reserves the right to use the recordings as well as your name and likeness for promotional purposes only.
Recording will commence on ____________________ and be completed by ___________________. The recording schedule will be as follows, unless mutually agreed upon by both parties.
